Roger Weaver

Roger Weaver is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, educator, and sound engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience in the music industry. Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively, sharing his talents with audiences around the world and performing for distinguished figures including President Bill Clinton, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jordan, Patti LaBelle, and Lynn Whitfield.

A dedicated music educator, Roger holds a Liberal Arts degree from Kennedy-King College and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Chicago State University. He has devoted much of his career to inspiring the next generation of musicians, teaching band, piano, drums, and choir at various Salvation Army locations throughout Chicago.

In addition to his educational work, Roger serves as a music director, performer, and producer. He is the music director for the stage production "150 Years Ago," written and directed by his wife, Katrice Weaver, and has also contributed to the acclaimed production "The Diary of Black Men." He performs as keyboardist and vocalist with his band, Roger Weaver and Visions, and continues to appear regularly at community events, senior living communities, and venues throughout the Chicagoland area.

As a member of the Second Nature Jazz Quintet, Roger brings a wealth of experience, exceptional musicianship, and a passion for excellence to every performance. His artistry, leadership, and dedication to music help create the sophisticated and soulful sound that defines SNJQ.
